No problem! I love nutrition science stuff. I went sugar-free for a month back in June, and found it pretty doable after the first few days, once my habits were updated and I quit mourning my post-dinner lump of dark chocolate. I'm tempted to go sugar-free for all of 2012, just to see what the long-term effects will be.
I can give up just about anything, if given a few days to kick the habit or get used to a substitute. I missed it, but only for three or four days, then my brain quit asking, "So…where's our chocolate, then?"
That said, I'm giving up alcohol next month for my weird little series of monthly deprivation experiments…we'll see how well that goes :-)
I gave up all sugar a year ago... I hate to think who's eating my 141 lbs a year! -- willaful
ReplyDeleteI've known I should give up sugar for quite a while, but I think this just put a nail in that coffin. Wow. Thanks for posting!

ReplyDeleteDark chocolate is the thing I can't seem to give up! How did you do it?
